CRIMINALISATION OF THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF SEX (SCOTLAND) BILL
On the 25th November 2010 Trish Godman MSP introduced a Private Member's Bill with the aim of criminalising those who purchase, advertise and facilitate prostitution. The Bill aims to challenge the whole acceptance of buying sex.
Trish Godman tried to introduce legislation via the Criminal Justice and Licensing Bill earlier this year and failed, with MSPs demanding more consultation on the issue before a decision could be made. For this reason, consultation on the Criminalisation of the Purchase and Sale of Sex (Scotland) Bill is open until 18th Feb 2011.
We urge you to write in and show your support for these vital changes to the law and show your commitment to ending prostitution NOW.

There is also a brief SUPPORTING STATEMENT and STANDARD RESPONSE which can be used to inform any response to the Bill.
