The amendments presented at Stage 3 of the Bill were for up for debate among the whole parliament yesterday. Trish Godman's amendment creating an offence of purchase, advertising and facilitating paid for sexual activity was rejected (for 44, against 78).

Over 40 written submissions were received by the Justice Committee in support of the amendment as well as over 2000 petitions signed through the EPN website. This is not the end, however, as Trish Godman MSP is intent on a private member’s Bill. Thanks to all those individuals and organisations who have supported us so far in the campaign and by writing in to the Parliament. The issue is now firmly on the agenda of Scottish Politicians and has paved the way towards challenging the demand for prostitution in Scotland.
